Our Ethos

We create a niche range of handmade pieces. Each piece is thrown and fired here in the studio, then glazed with original recipes made onsite by our potters. Our ethos is locally made, for local customers, using an eco friendly approach to resource use.

We accept commissions for bespoke pieces - if you have your heart set on a specific design, message us through our contact page and we will get in touch.

We hold regular Open Studios and participate in the Garden and Art Festival - come and see our whole range in person, or new releases via Instagram @kaimaiblue.

What we do

Our mission is to create meaningful, one-of-a-kind pottery that brings lasting beauty and character into your home — a soulful alternative to mass-produced, disposable goods. Our work is captured in our by-line; Local pottery by nature.
